Inspiration Behind “Ethereal”

Ethereal was born from a moment of stillness—an inner call to capture grace, majesty, and the fleeting beauty of presence. The peacock, long regarded as a symbol of royalty and spiritual awakening, became the perfect muse. Its elegant form and timeless poise are at the heart of this piece, while the feathers in the background shimmer with subtle power, creating a dreamlike world that feels suspended in time.

To bring this vision to life, I blended the fluid vibrancy of acrylic with the rich, velvety depth of oil paint. The combination creates a dynamic background that draws you in slowly, layer by layer, much like the complexity of the bird itself. The canvas—measuring 30” wide by 40” tall—is gallery-wrapped, wired, with painted borders, and ready to hang, designed to make a statement in any space.
