In support of Movember for my friend Dakota, who is on a rugby team raising $ for men’s mental health and early health testing, I wanted to share his donation link and his testimony. Dakota wrote “Movember is a movement towards a better world for men in ways that lead to a better world for all. Therapy and mental health used to be considered something that was only necessary for those in deep deep distress and men would not use it because they were raised on holding in their feelings. There is one male suicide every minute. We can do better. Better men, make better lives for us all.

April attended a Poetry Open Mic, at the Tap Yard in Raleigh, supporting her AAWA guest and poet - Falsetto Prophet. 'It was amazing to see all the talented local people show off their love of the word and their passion for humanity. Falsetto challenged me to write a poem based on one of my paintings and I am doing just that. More to come!'

Through Providence Church in Raleigh, April met Atti & Richard from Slovakia. These two Slovakians are trying to make a difference by raising money to build a church in their low economy town. And April has agreed to donate a custom work of art for their new church once it is complete! Their YouTube show is called Svatonazor, all in their language.
