Artist Antics With April: The Power of Creative Storytelling
Share
I've always believed art isn’t just something to hang on your wall—it’s something to move you. And this is exactly why I created the Artist Antics with April (AAWA) podcast. A place for creatives to talk about creativity and the stories behind them.
No matter what medium, fine art, photography, film making, music, murals, poets, rappers, art therapists, song writers, etc., there is an episode that fits. In every episode of AAWA you will find: Connection. Clarity. Creativity.
Why I Started AAWA
Artist Antics with April (AAWA) was born from my desire to talk to other creatives about their journey, their creativity process, and all the stories behind them that normally you don't get to hear. I wanted to build a community that could assist and encourage each other when needed - a group of like-minded people that 'get it'. And to show listeners that being a creative for a living is truly possible.
Every episode is a real, unfiltered conversation with creatives who are brave enough to have chosen expression as their career.
They’re not just interviews. They’re little revelations....at least for me anyway.
Featured Episode: Tony St. Tone – Music, Mindset & Meaning
One of my most inspiring episodes features award-winning songwriter and guitarist Tony St. Tone, whose life is basically a masterclass in following your passion.
From performing over 275 shows a year, winning song writer awards, to playing for Priscilla Presley, Tony has built a music career centered on purpose, service, and serious trust in his creative instincts. It's a testament to creative living.
Highlights include:
-
Why trusting your own vision matters more than anyone’s opinions
-
How creativity can heal—in prisons, hospitals, and halfway houses
-
The story behind Tony’s Spirit of Music Foundation
-
His songwriting process and the magic that happens when you let flow take over

Why It Matters
Artist Antics with April (AAWA) matters because it’s more than just talk—it’s a space where creatives open up about the real, messy, beautiful fun, funny, emotional process of making things. It’s about celebrating creativity in all its forms and reminding us that we’re not alone on this journey.
Through AAWA, I :
- Discuss practical tips and tricks
- Amplify stories of courage and creative clarity
- Talk about the process of transitioning from corporate/jobs to artist
- Explore how artists use their gifts to serve others
Whether you're a painter, musician, photographer, film maker, poet, or someone rediscovering their creative voice, my show is a space to feel seen, sparked, and supported.
